Aalto Leads Finnish Delegation Visits to India: Building Bridges Across Continents
The delegation, comprising of 13 representatives, engaged in a series of high-impact activities across seven Indian cities. Key activities included:
- Welcome events for offer holders to Finnish HEIs and Alumni (Finnish Embassy, Delhi and Consulate General, Mumbai)
- Aalto University Alumni Events (Hyderabad and Bengaluru)
- Student Recruitment fairs (QS Masters Fairs in Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad)
- Premiering Aalto documentary on Radical Creatives (Bengaluru)
- FICORE – VIT conference on AI for IoT (AIIoT 2024, Vellore) and,
- Visits to various institutions
- NMIMS, Whistling Woods International, IIT Bombay, BITS Design School (Mumbai)
- IIIT Hyderabad and upGrad (Hyderbad)
- KC Overseas Education Pvt Ltd (Nagpur)
- IIT Madras
- IIT Delhi
- Indian Institute of Science (IISc), National Institute of Design (NID), Nokia 6G Innovation Center, Science Gallery Bengaluru SCB and Bangalore Creative Circus BCC (Bengaluru)
With over 750 in-person interactions, the delegation's efforts promoted strong interest in fostering Indo-Finnish collaboration. The visit had several important takeaways, for example,

One of the planned initiatives includes signing an Open Framework MoU between Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Finnish Universities. The initiatives are expected to further strengthen collaborations and foster new opportunities in the coming years.
The Finnish delegation’s visit to India marks a significant step forward in fostering robust academic partnerships.
